What makes a poem gay?
does it suck on other poems’ dangling participles
wet their expletives
then swallow deeply alliterations.
hold onto explosive phonemes
( parsing them tightly )
titillate sibilants with fricatives
split infinitives with latent desires
get bound up by using restrictive metaphors
with a ‘ dolce stil novo ‘ meter
slipped into submissive clauses.
balancing gender confusion
only to over use the subjunctive
emulate
dogs who
lick their own indicative phrases;
urinate on firehydrant red dependent clauses
grooming paws and fetching home
unknown types of sticks.
indicatively moody
always future tense.
hoping to one day to bring Ulysses back from the plus perfect or
where ever.
finally to return home as a dominant clause
in  a  completed sentence.
Rocco Russo.
